It was the only incidence of crowd surfing in the history of Paris fashion week but the hyperactive and half-naked models at Andrea Crews’ ‘Jogging Collection’ show (at Jeu de Paume) pulled it off with panache.  The Andrea Crews lady dresses like a substitute teacher whose idea of fun is a night at Wal*Mart with a bottle of Canadian Whisky and a glue gun.  Plastic fruit and silk flowers were paired with 80’s style Mom pants and flashy jumpsuits in eyewatering prints or screechy primary colours – by far the highest waistlines we’ve seen this season.  The collection – a sartorial code scrambling of trailer trash essentials – was a composite of Lady Wrestler meets 80’s late-nite TV meets Madonna, circa ‘Get into the Groove’, the whole thing styled by The Home Shopping Network.  MH
