PARIS: EACH x OTHER AND ROBERT MONTGOMERY AT COLETTE

The latest collection from unique fashion brand Each x Other – where art meets fashion –  is in collaboration with Brit artist Robert Montgomery. Montgomery works with text, in “A POETIC AND MELANCHOLIC POST-SITUATIONIST TRADITION” and for this collab he has created a project based around a very Parisian story that occurred only metres from Colette. He explores the drama of the Vendôme Column, destroyed in 1871 during the Paris Commune and which ultimately led to the exile of French painter Gustave Courbet. In doing so, he leads the audience to question the meaning of monuments and structures in cities (“ALL PALACES ARE TEMPORARY PALACES”). As well as the beautiful clothes for men and women, you’ll find limited-edition art pieces for sale (600€-28,000€) in the gallery space.
