Erwin Wurm at Thaddaeus Ropac

 In > art culture design

‘Yes Biological’, a comprehensive solo exhibition of new sculptures by the amusing Austrian artist Erwin Wurm opens tomorrow night (from 6.30pm) at Thaddaeus Ropac. During the 1990s, Erwin Wurm attracted much attention with his One-Minute Sculptures of people in absurd poses with everyday objects. Wurm has always concentrated on extending the traditional concept of sculpture and applying it to everyday reality. For this new show, Wurm takes the performative element of the One-Minute Sculptures to a new level of monumentality…
Until 12 Feb. Tue-Sat, 10am-7pm. Galerie Thaddaeus Ropac, 7 rue Debelleyme, 3rd. M° Filles du Calvaire. 01.42.72.99.00. www.ropac.net/
