This new hotel (part of the trendy Elegancia group) is designed by precocious Paris it-boy Ora-Ïto and inspired by Kubrick’s 2001: A Space Odyssey. The 29 compact rooms certainly appear like cabins in a space vessel, and you feel cut off from Paris and the hectic Les Halles and Etienne-Marcel shopping meccas at the hotel’s doorstep. Each room has a unique colour scheme,and privileges 4 quality materials: wood, cork, felt and Corian, in a harmonious blend of clean lines and smooth curves. On the ground floor, the breakfast room doubles as a bar, open nightly from 6pm-2am, and serving a short range of cocktails (10-12€) using quality, often organic, spirits.
