La Chatte release 1st album 'Bastet'
Experimental Paris electro outfit La Chatte (the pussy) are about to release their first album ‘Bastet’ on young French label Tsunami Addiction, a collection of realistic-futurist songs, a kind of hypnotic soundtrack to a dance club haunted by ethereal voices, sharpened guitars and dark rhythms. Renowned for their out-there performances, the 3-headed musical creature La Chatte was born in 2003 in Paris, formed by Vava Dudu, a pluridisciplinary artist, Stéphane Argillet aka Stereovoid, visual and sound artist member of the French collaborative France Fiction, and Nikolu, a polymorphous musician. Their music, a kind of post-punk electro-zouk, is ryhthmic, dark, distorted, strident and chocolate-flavored.
Album out on 10 May.
The release party on Wed 12 May at Point Ephémère, with Kap Bambino (DJ set), Joe&Marie (live), Hypo, is sure to be memorable!
