MM6 PARIS
Maison Martin Margiela has just opened a store in Paris dedicated to their new diffusion line MM6, after a first store in New York opened last year, coinciding with the line’s first appearance at NY Fashion Week. The more affordable and accessible line, developed since the maestro’s departure, comprises mix-and-match basics, at around 150€-200€ for a dress or pants, and made in Turkey, Italy or China. Faithful to the brand’s codes, many of the pieces feature customisable elements. On the Marché St Honoré, along side neighbours such as the Marc Jacobs empire, Comme des Garçons Parfum and American Apparel, the minimal L-shaped store’s main decorative feature is white butchershop tiles. More stores are to follow in London & Milan.
