Peaches, Elysée Montmartre (May 6th)

 In > party

Peaches has hit the road again, kicking off the promotion for her fourth studio album, I Feel Cream, at the Elysée Montmartre. She is set to rock out at scores of dates across the USA and Canada before performing at the colossal Glastonbury, Fuji Rock and Benicassim festivals in the eagerly anticipated summer. Moving in a marginally less debauched direction and presenting new backing band Sweet Machine, her latest songs have a slicker more lyrical feel than the über fast paced, in-your-face classics from the first two albums. She still clambers about on the rigging wearing a flashing harness and a triple X cape, but appears to be paying more heed to singing well these days than generally inciting or diving headlong into the crowd. Always fun to watch and a dynamo on the stage, she went the whole nine yards as one might expect, with an after-party DJ set til 3am at Chez Regine in the 8ème.
